November 5: G8 grade coal (GCV range 4,900-5,200 Kcal/kg) offered by Central Coalfields (CCL) and Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) of Coal India (CIL) met with good demand on coaljunction’s e-auction platform in October 2014. The quantity offered during the month stood at 40,430 tons while the total allotted quantity stood at 39,980 tons. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,828/ton.
This grade also met with good demand in September 2014. The quantity offered during the month stood at 2,000 tons while the total allotted quantity stood at 1,940 tons. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,028/ton.
Similar demand was also seen in August as out of 45,000 tons offered, the allotted quantity stood at 41,090 tons. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,184/ton.
