After a gap of one month, pet coke imports via Gangavaram Port resumed in December 2015 with 43,000 tons, as per provisional information available with ICMW. A volume of 126,025 tons of the material had been imported last via this port in October 2015.
For the first Nine months (April-November) of the current fiscal (2015-16), pet coke imports via Gangavaram Port stood at 340,861 tons while 746,584 tons had been imported in the same period of the previous fiscal (2014-15).

In December 2015, a volume of 23,000 tons came in from China at a price range of Rs 17,872-Rs 17,891 ($266-$266) per ton and 20,000 tons from the US at a price range of Rs 4,313-Rs 4,316 ($64-$64) per ton.
