January 29: Very strong demand was witnessed for G6 grade (GCV 5,501 to 5,800 Kcal/kg) coal offered for allotment by CIL in the month of December 2014 via e-auctions conducted on the MSTC platform as out of the entire offered quantity of 105,910 tons of coal, 98,860 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,015 per ton.
In fact, very strong demand was witnessed for G6 grade coal offered for allotment by CIL in the month of November 2014 as the entire offered quantity of 39,000 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,027 per ton.
A strong demand was also witnessed for this grade in October 2014 as the entire offered quantity of 15,000 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 5,476 per ton.
