Good demand was witnessed in the e-auction of G7 grade (GCV ranging from 5,201 to 5,500 Kcal/kg) coal on coaljunction in January 2016 as out of the entire offering of 107,550 tons by SECL and CCL, a volume of 67,990 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,401 per ton, according to data available with ICMW.
However, good demand was witnessed in the auction of G7 grade coal on coaljunction in December 2015 as out of the entire offering of 163,450 tons by WCL, SECL and CCL, a volume of 70,770 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,405 per ton.
Similarly, good demand was witnessed in the auction of G7 grade coal on coaljunction in November 2015 as out of the entire offering of 184,200 tons by WCL, SECL and CCL, a volume of 86,810 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,414 per ton.
