Green nod for SCCL’s Kasipet -2 incline UGP mine

May 19: The Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change (MoEFCC) granted environmental clearances (EC) to Singareni Collieries Company Limited’s Kasipet -2 incline underground project in the Adilabad district of Andhra Pradesh.

The EC was granted on May 11.

The underground mine has a production of capacity of 0.47 million tons per annum (mtpa) with F/G11 and C/G6 grades of coal.

The total geological reserves in the mine amount to 19.79 million tons (mt) while the minable and extractable reserves are at 7.65 million tons.

Total cost of the project is Rs 60.18 crore.
