Gypsum imports via Mundra slip sharply in October m-o-m

November 21: Imports of gypsum through Mundra port stood at 96 tons in October 2013, sharply down by 88.54% from 838 tons imported during the month of September 2013, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

During October 2013, the entire material came in from Thailand at a price of Rs 13,928 ($222) per ton.

However, of the total material that arrived in September, 788 tons came from Iran and nearly 50 tons came from Oman. The material from Iran came in the price range of Rs 1,711 to Rs 3,801 ($26.8-$59.5) per ton while that from Oman came at Rs 4,448 ($70.00) per ton.
