April 21: Gypsum imports via V O Chidambaranar Port (former Tuticorin) Port increased 19.54% to 261,716 tons in 2013-14 compared to 218,935 tons in the previous financial year (2012-13), according to data available with ICMW.
In March, 2014, there were no imports of gypsum through the port while in February gypsum imports through the port stood at 7,216 tons and in March, 2013, a volume of 36,827 tons.
