September 26: Very strong demand was witnessed in August 2014 for G-11 grade (GCV 4,001 to 4,300 Kcal/kg) coal offered by CCL for allotment through the MSTC platform as the entire offered quantity of 53,000 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,402 per ton.
Similar demand was witnessed in July 2014 for this grade as the entire offered quantity of 42,500 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,723 per ton.
However, a slightly lower demand was witnessed in June for G-11 grade of coal offered by SECL, CCL and MCL for allotment through the MSTC platform as out of an offered quantity of 415,000 tons, 405,350 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,116 per ton.
