September 26: High demand was witnessed in case of G-4 grade (GCV of 6,101-6,400 Kcal/kg) coal offered by CCL for allotment through the e-auction platform of MSTC in August 2014, as out of the quantity of 850 tons offered, 830 tons got allotted during the month at a weighted average price of Rs 6,195 per ton.
In July, out of the quantity of 9,510 tons of G-4 grade offered by CCL and NEC, 9,500 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,860 per ton.
However, during June, out of 54,550 tons of G-4 grade coal offered for allotment through the e-auction platform of MSTC, 45,150 tons got allotted during the month at a weighted average price of Rs 4,381 per ton.
