October 31: High demand was noticed for G-4 grade (GCV of 6,101-6,400 Kcal/kg) coal offered by CCL, ECL and WCL for allotment through the e-auction platform of MSTC in September 2014, as out of the 13,500 tons offered, 13,440 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 7,391 per ton.
Similarly, high demand was witnessed for this grade offered by CCL for allotment through the e-auction platform of MSTC in August 2014, as out of the quantity of 850 tons offered, 830 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 6,195 per ton.
In July, out of the quantity of 9,510 tons offered by CCL and NEC, 9,500 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,860 per ton.
