Strong demand was witnessed for a higher quantity of G12 grade coal (GCV of 3,701-4,000 Kcal/kg) grade offered by CCL and SECL for sale through coaljunction in December 2015 and the average weighted price also declined, according to data available with ICMW.
Out of the entire offered quantity of 330,000 tons of G12 grade on coaljunction in December 2015, a volume of 228,200 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,069 per ton.
Similarly, strong demand was witnessed for a higher quantity of G12 grade coal grade offered by CCL and SECL for sale through coaljunction in November 2015 and the average weighted price also declined.
Out of the entire offered quantity of 595,000 tons of G12 grade on coaljunction in November 2015, a volume of 410,750 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,196 per ton.
However, low demand was witnessed for a higher quantity of G12 grade offered by CCL and SECL for sale through coaljunction in October 2015 and the average weighted price also declined.
Out of the entire offered quantity of 2,010,000 tons of G12 grade on coaljunction in October 2015, only 353,500 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,147 per ton.
