January 29: High demand was witnessed for washery grade (W3 & W4) coking coal offered by CIL for allotment through the MSTC platform in December 2014.
During the month under review, out of 13,600 tons of coking coal offered, 13,590 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,670 per ton.
A similar high demand was witnessed in November as out of 158,600 tons of coking coal offered, 158,560 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,138 per ton.
However, during October, out of 103,800 tons of coking coal offered, 60,360 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,535 per ton.
