Imported coal stocks rise at Paradip Port

September 29: Stocks of imported coal at Paradip Port on the eastern coast of India, as reported by the parties, rose on September 29 as compared to the scenario on September 15, a port official said.
The stocks of imported coal at the port rose to 2.363 million tons (mt) as on September 29 from 2.201 mt recorded on September 15.
Of the total stocks lying at the port as on September 29, 1.092 tons comprised steam coal and 1.271 tons, coking coal.
On September 15, steam coal stocks stood at 0.822 mt and coking coal at 1.379 mt.
Out of the total steam coal lying at the port on September 29, Adani had stocks of 110,000 tons, Bhatia, 8,000 tons and JSPL, 163,000 tons whereas on September 15, Adani had stocks of 90,000 tons, Bhatia, 28,000 tons and JSPL, 43,000 tons.
Out of the total stocks of coking coal as on September 29, SAIL had 188,000 tons, Tata Steel 130,000 tons and Visa had 104,000 tons whereas on September 15, SAIL had 147,000 tons, Tata Steel 155,000 tons and Visa, 85,000 tons.
