February 24: There was a slight downward movement in spot coal prices in the international markets on February 21 as demand remained slack and buyers did not commit themselves to fresh procurement, trading sources said.
Prices eased at Richards Bay Coal Terminal marginally over the previous closing, while the Newcastle spot prices were slightly improved. Sources said, prices may see modest gains once Chinese buyers return to the market, starting March.
