December 24: JSW Steel extended its memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Vizag Port for handling coal and iron ore for two years, with retrospective affect from November 27, 2013, according to a recent notice.
JSW steel has assured the port of handling traffic of one million tons per annum. The port circular said this would enable JSW Steel to have berth reservation for its vessels.
