February 10: Imports of met coke via Magdalla Port stood at 78,765 tons during the month of January 2015, up 9.02% from the previous month's imports of 72,250 tons, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In January 2015, 39,765 tons came from China at a price range of Rs 12,309-Rs 12,983 ($198-$208) per ton, 25,000 tons came from Japan at a price range of Rs 13,782-Rs 14,114 ($221) per ton whereas the balance 14,000 tons came from Poland at a price range of Rs 13,719-Rs 13,867 ($217-$220) per ton.
However, during December 2014, 27,250 tons came from China at a price range of Rs 13,321-Rs 13,342 ($203-$213) per ton, 10,000 tons came from Japan at a price range of Rs 13,848-Rs 14,125 ($221) per ton whereas the balance 35,000 tons came from Poland at a price range of Rs 13,574-Rs 13,867 ($213-$217) per ton.
