Kandla pet coke imports in Sept more than double m-o-m

October 20: Imports of pet coke via Kandla Port rose 2.69 times to 80,671 tons during the month of September 2014 while in the previous month, import of the material through the port stood at 29,890 tons, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

During September 2014, 14,014 tons came from Saudi Arabia at a price range of Rs 5,907-Rs 6,174 ($97-$100) per ton while the rest of 66,657 tons came in from the US at a price range of Rs 5,920-Rs 6,737 ($97-$109) per ton.

However, in August 2014, 12,000 tons came from Saudi Arabia at a price range of Rs 5,979-Rs 6,175 ($98-$101) per ton while the balance 17,890 tons came in from United States at a price of Rs 6,245 ($101-$103) per ton.
