Kandla pet coke imports rise sharply in April m-o-m

May 11: Imports of pet coke via Kandla Port rose sharply to 131,319 tons in April against a volume of 64,994 tons imported in March, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In April 2014 there were no imports of pet coke recorded through the port.
Following is the monthly break-up of pet coke imports via Kandla Port in 2015-16 and 2014-15:

In April, 73,286 tons came from Saudi Arabia at a price range of Rs 4,200-Rs 4,777($67-$76) while balance 58,033 tons came from United States a price range of Rs 4,937-Rs 5,582 ($78-$88).
In March, 54,994 tons were imported from Saudi Arabia at a price range of Rs 4,378-Rs 4,392 ($70) per ton while the balance 10,000 tons came from United States at a price range of 4,941-Rs 5,555($78-$88) per ton.
