Coking coal imports through the port of Kandla increased 96.73% to 44,926 tons in December 2015 against 22,836 tons recorded in the preceding month of October, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
Imports of coking coal through the port during December 2014 stood at 38,000 tons.
Imports of the material through the port during the first nine months (April-December) of 2015 stood at 266,534 tons, down 21.41% from 339,172 tons imported during the same period last year.
