May 8: Imports of coking coal via Krishnapatnam Port fell 40.65% to 285,370 tons in April against a volume of 480,903 tons imported in March, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

In April, 93,877 tons came from Australia at a price range of Rs 7,070-Rs 7,479($112-119) per ton while details of the balance 191,493 tons could not be ascertained.
In March, the entire consignment came from Australia at a price range of Rs 5,607-Rs 8,693 ($89-$138) per ton.
