March 18: Imports of coking coal via Krishnapatnam Port fell 68.85% to 112,633 tons in February against a volume of 361,526 tons imported in January 2015, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In February, the entire consignment came from Australia at a price range of Rs 7,338-Rs 8,618 ($118-$138) per ton.
In January, 198,917 tons arrived from Australia at a price range of Rs 7,064-Rs 9,030 ($111-$142) per ton and 162,609 tons arrived from Canada at a price range of Rs 7,221-Rs 8,396 ($ 113-$132) per ton.
