August 20: Spot prices of South African coal slipped sharply on August 19 in the absence of enquiries from Asian countries, market sources said.
However, Indonesian coal prices remained firm amidst reports that a number of miners in the country have resorted to production cuts in recent days, leading to a slight fall in overall availability, they said.
