March 31: Limestone imports through the port of Mundra stood at 3,680 tons in February 2015, down 9.25% from 4,055 tons recorded in the previous month, as per provisional information available with ICMW.
Of the total imports in February 2015, 108 tons came from China at Rs 12,552/ton ($200/ton), 1,397 tons from Greece, 1,431 tons from Malaysia, 220 tons from Oman and 525 tons from UAE.
Out of 4,055 tons of limestone imported in January 2015, 54 tons came from China at Rs 10,697/ton ($172/ton), 2,127 tons at various prices from Greece, 795 tons at various prices from Malaysia and 1,079 tons at Rs 6,952/ton from UAE.
