There was low demand for G7 grade (GCV ranging from 5,201 to 5,500 Kcal/kg) coal offered by subsidiaries of CIL for allotment through MSTC during January 2016 as out of the entire offered quantity of 68,000 tons, 16,600 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,912 per ton, as per data available with ICMW.
However, there was strong demand for G7 grade coal offered by subsidiaries of CIL for allotment through MSTC during December 2015 as the out of entire offered quantity of 24,900 tons, 16,510 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,466 per ton.
There was poor demand for G7 grade offered by subsidiaries of CIL through MSTC during November 2015 as the out of entire offered quantity of 312,410 tons, merely 31,342 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,280 per ton.
