Low demand was witnessed in June 2016 for grade G16 (GCV 2,501 to 2,800 Kcal/kg) coal as out of the entire quantity of 100,000 tons offered on MSTC by CIL subsidiaries, 25,500 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 768 per ton, as per data available with ICMW.
However, strong demand was witnessed in June 2016 for grade G16 as out of the entire quantity of 150,000 tons offered on MSTC by CIL subsidiaries, 76,150 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 770 per ton.
