April 14: Steam coal imports via Pipavav Port increased 15% to 161,015 tons for the month of March against a volume of 140,015 tons for the month of February, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In March, 37,500 tons came from South Africa at a price range of Rs 3,359-Rs 3,582($53-$57) per ton while details of the balance 123,515 tons were not available.
In February details of prices and originating countries could not be known.
