May anthracite coal imports via Chennai down 11.97 % m-o-m

June 20: Anthracite coal imports via Chennai Port dropped 11.97% to 507 tons in May, 2014 against a volume of 576 tons reported in in April, as per provisional data available with ICMW.

In March, the volume of anthracite coal import through the port stood at 865 tons.

In May, all the consignments arrived from China at a unit price ranging from Rs 19,004-Rs 26,807 ($313-$441).

In April, all the consignments arrived from China in a price band of Rs 18,631– Rs 26,604 ($308-436) per ton.
