After a gap of five months, met coke imports resumed through Krishnapatnam Port with a volume of 16,252 tons in January 2016, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
A volume of 17,546 tons of met coke was last imported via this port in July 2015.
For the first 10 months (April-January) of the current fiscal (2015-16), met coke imports through the port stood at 91,650 tons while 56,600 tons had been imported in the same period of last fiscal.

In January, the entire quantity of 16,252 tons a came from China at a price range of Rs 9,502 -Rs 9,537 ($139-$141) per ton.
