October 7: There was moderate demand for G5 grade coal (GCV range 5,800 to 6,100 Kcal/kg) at the e-auction platform of coaljunction as out of 237,292 tons offered, 195,729 tons got allotted and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,258/ton.
In August, there was good demand for G5 grade coal as 76.97% of the total offered quantity got allotted. Out of a total of 314,936 tons of coal offered, as much as 242,414 tons got allotted during the month. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,149/ton.
However, in July 2013, out of a total of 238,630 tons of coal offered, as much as 173,855 tons got allotted during the month and the weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,116/ton
