February 5: G7 grade coal (GCV range of 5,200-5,500 Kcal/kg) met with moderate demand on the coaljunction platform in January 2015 as out of the entire offered quantity of 117,800 tons of coal, 84,990 tons were allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,744/ton.
This grade met with a moderate demand in December 2014 as out of the entire offered quantity of 190,740 tons of coal, 118,070 tons got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 2,870/ton.
However, G7 grade coal met with a very high demand on the coaljunction platform in November 2014 as the entire offered quantity of 32,100 tons got allotted. The weighted average price of the allotted quantity during the month stood at Rs 3,637/ton.
