January 30: A moderate demand was witnessed for G8 grade (GCV 4,901 to 5,200 Kcal/kg) coal offered on the MSTC platform by CIL subsidiaries in December 2014 as out of the offered quantity of 311,340 tons, 265,800 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,195 per ton.
However, very strong demand was witnessed for this grade in November 2014 as the entire offered quantity of 20,000 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,243 per ton.
In October 2014, similar demand was observed as the entire offered quantity of 94,000 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,941 per ton.
