Pet coke imports via New Mangalore Port stood at 73,613 tons in January 2016, while there were no imports of the material in December, as per provisional data available with ICMW.
A volume of 69,568 tons of pet coke had been imported via this port in January 2015.
Total pet coke imports through the port during the first 10 months (April-January) of 2015-16 stood at 439,410 tons against 428,355.02 tons seen in the same period of the previous fiscal.
Imports of pet coke through the port in financial year 2014-15 stood at 607,644 tons.

In January 2016, out of the entire amount, 57,001 tons came from Saudi Arabia at a price of Rs 2,756 ($41) per ton and 16,612 tons from the US at a price of Rs 3,263 ($48) per ton.
In December, there was no imports of pet coke via this port.
