No Met coke imports through Chennai Port in Dec

January 28: No metallurgical coke imported via Chennai Port in the month of December 2014, as per provisional information available with ICMW.

Met coke imports in November 2014 stood at a mere 3 tons.

In November, the single consignments arrived from the UK at a unit price of Rs 51,978 ($ 840).

There have been no imports of met coke through Chennai from August-October 2014.

In July, met coke imports through the port were at a mere 94 tons while there had been no imports of the material between April-June, 2014.

In July, the material arrived from China at a unit price of Rs 19,099 ($318).
