No PCI coal imports via Chennai since March 2014

August 26: There were no PCI coal imports via Chennai Port for five consecutive months till July 2014, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

Imports of the material were at a negligible 0.11 tons in February 2014 while there were no imports in January.

In February, the single consignment had arrived from South Africa at a unit price of Rs 47,363 ($752) per ton.
