No PCI imports in December via Krishnapatnam Port

As in November, there were no imports of PCI coal via Krishnapatnam Port in the month of December 2015, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

Incidentally, after a month’s gap, imports of PCI coal via this port had resumed with 117,186 tons in October 2015.

For the first nine months (April-November) of the current fiscal (2015-16), PCI coal imports through Krishnapatnam Port stood at 289,730 tons while imports of the commodity through the port in the same period of the previous fiscal (2014-15) were at 5,000 tons.

In October, the entire quantity of 117,186 had been imported from Australia at a price range of Rs 5,189-Rs 5,631 ($78-$86) per ton.
