No anthracite imports for New Mangalore in November

December 24: There were no imports of anthracite coal via New Mangalore Port in November 2015, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
 

There were no imports of anthracite coal via this port in November 2014 too.

Total anthracite coal imports through the port during the first eight months (April-November) of 2015-16 stood at 3,522 tons while there were no imports of the material in the same period of the previous fiscal.

Imports of anthracite through the port in financial year 2014-15 stood at 44,000 tons.

Following is the monthly break-up of met coke imports via New Mangalore Port in 2014-15 and 2015-16 (in tons):
 

In October 2015, the entire material came from the Ukraine at a price of Rs 9,446 ($145) per ton.
