No anthracite imports via V O Chidambaranar in Nov

December 10: As in the previous two months of September and October, there have been no imports of anthracite coal via V O Chidambaranar Port (Tuticorin Port) in November 2015, according to provisional data available with ICMW. However, a volume of 68 tons of the material was imported via this port in August 2015.

 For the first eight months (April-November) of the current fiscal (2015-16), anthracite coal imports via this port stood at 151 tons while there were no imports of this material in the same period of the previous fiscal (2014-15).

 The following table contains details of imports of anthracite via VO Chidambaranar Port (Tuticorin Port) in FY 2014-15 and FY 2015-16:

In August 2015, the entire volume of 68 tons had come in from Vietnam at a price of Rs 15,380 ($239) per ton.
