No anthracite imports via Vizag Port in October

November 11: There were no anthracite coal imports through the port of Vizag in October 2014, as per provisional data available with ICMW. In September 10,081 tons arrived via the port.

In September, 10,000 tons had arrived from Russia at Rs 6,802 ($110-112) per ton while the balance 81 tons had come in from China at a unit price of Rs 26,419 ($433).

It may be noted that Vizag Port was affected by Cyclone Hudhud which had made a landfall in the southern India city of Vizag last month. Consequently, cargo handling at the port suffered, bringing down import volumes.
