No demand for met coke in e-auction in March

April 7: There was no demand for small quantity of hard coke and breeze coke offered by Bharat Coking Coal Ltd (BCCL) for sale through e-auction platform of coaljunction in March 2015.

A soft trend in prices and availability of imported met coke at much lower prices appears to have impacted the demand.

The company had offered 100 tons of hard coke and 1000 tons of breeze coke from its Bhowrah CP in the auction held on March 18 at reserve price of Rs 9094 and Rs 4025 per ton respectively, but none of the bidders showed any interest in any of the offerings.
