November 23: G14 grade (GCV 3,101 to 3,400 Kcal/kg) coal was not offered by CIL subsidiaries for allotment via MSTC’s e-auction platform in October 2015, as per data available with ICMW.
However, very strong demand was witnessed in September 2015 for G14 grade coal offered by CIL subsidiaries as the entire offered quantity of 100,000 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,396 per ton.
Like September, similar kind of strong demand was witnessed in August 2015 for G14 grade coal offered by CIL subsidiaries as the entire offered quantity of 150,000 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,162 per ton.
