No offerings of G1, G2 in Dec on other platform

January 29: There were no offerings of G1 and G2 grades of coal for allotment via the e-auction platform of MSTC during December. The case was similar in November, October, September and August.

However, during July, very strong demand for G1 grade (GCV above 7,000 Kcal/kg) was noticed as the entire offered quantity of 12,000 tons got allotted during the month at a weighted average price of Rs 6,469 per ton.

In July, for G2 grade (GCV of 6,701-7,000 Kcal/kg) coal, moderate demand was witnessed as 5,500 tons got allotted out of the offered quantity of 13,750 tons during the month at a weighted average price of Rs 4,870 per ton.
