Nov gypsum imports via Vizag drop a sharp 49.32% m-o-m

December 10: Gypsum imports through the port of Vizag in November 2013 were at 39,510 tons against 77,954 tons reported in October 2013, showing a sharp drop of 49.32%, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

In November 2013, imports included 39,205 tons from Thailand at Rs 1,790 ($28) per ton, 128 tons from Iran at Rs 4,577 ($73) per ton and 78 tons from Oman at Rs 9,520-Rs 9,861 ($151-$156) per ton, among others.
October gypsum imports included 77,900 tons from Thailand in a price range of Rs 1,658-Rs 1,680 $26-$27) per ton and the balance 54 tons arrived from Oman at a unit price of Rs 4,443 ($71).
