November 16: Imports of limestone through the port of Paradip went up by 76.33% to 215,574 tons in October 2015 against a volume of 122,253 tons in September, as per provisional information available with ICMW.

October 2015 imports comprised 210,343 tons from the UAE in a range of Rs 1,067 –1,280 ($16-20) per ton, and the balance 5,231 tons came from Vietnam at a price band of Rs 6,991 – Rs 7,370 ($107-111) per ton.
In September 2015 imports comprised 121,627 tons from the UAE in a range of Rs 1,138 –1,314 ($17-20) per ton, 265 tons from Malaysia at a unit price of Rs 7,329 ($111) while the balance 361 tons came from Vietnam at a price of Rs 7,457/ton ($113).
