November 12: Imports of steam coal through Pipavav Port stood at 110,201 tons in October 2015, down 20.51% compared to 138.652 tons in September, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
Total imports of the material for the first seven months (April to October) of 2015-16 were at 529,450 tons.
Total import volumes of the material for the same period in the previous year were not available.

In October 2015, a volume of 58,190 tons came from South Africa at a price range of Rs 2,557- Rs 4,432 ($39-$68) per ton, whereas further details of the balance 52,024 tons were not available
Imports during September stood at 138,652 tons of which 11,000 tons came from Indonesia at an assessed price of Rs 3,480 ($52) per ton, while the exact origin and price of the balance 127,652 tons were not immediately available.
