In December 2015, PCI imports via Karaikal Port stood at 40,000 tons. There were no PCI coal imports through Karaikal Port from September to November, 2015. In August, these stood at 38,630 tons, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In the first nine months (April-December) of 2015, imports of PCI coal via Karaikal Port stood at 212,993 tons while import details of the previous fiscal were not available.

In December 2015, the entire consignment came from Australia at Rs 5,406 ($80) per ton.
Last time, in August, 30,000 tons came from Australia at a unit price of Rs 5,430 ($83) per ton while details of 8,630 tons were not available.
