November 11: Imports of PCI coal through Krishnapatnam Port resumed after a gap of one month in October 2015 at 117,186 tons, according to provisional data available with ICMW. Last time a volume of 56,890 tons of the material was imported via this port in August 2015.
For the first seven months (April-October) of the current fiscal (2015-16), met coke imports through Krishnapatnam Port stood at 289,730 tons while there were no imports of the material recorded via this port during the same period of last fiscal.

In October, the entire quantity of 117,186 was imported from Australia at a price range of Rs 5,189-Rs 5,631 ($78-$86) per ton.
