PCI coal imports through the port of Paradip in February 2016 stood at 132,575 tons against 154,016 tons in January 2016, showing a moderate decrease of 13.92% month-on-month, as per provisional data available with ICMW.
In February 2016, 68,993 tons arrived from Australia in a band of Rs 4,800 – Rs 5,299 ($70-77) per ton, and 63,582 tons from Canada at a unit price of Rs 4,751 ($69).
In January 2016, the entire volume arrived from Australia in a price range of Rs 4,756 – Rs 5,685 ($72-84) per ton.
