Pet coke imports via Kolkata Port plunge to 68 tons in Feb

March 7: Pet coke imports via Kolkata Port plunge to 68 tons in February 2014 against 255 tons recorded in January 2014, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

With this, total pet coke imports via Kolkata Port in the first 11 months of 2013-14 stood at 40,149 tons compared to 105,146 tons recorded during the corresponding period of the previous year.

Total pet coke imports in the entire financial year of 2012-13 stood at 105,248 tons.

In February 2013, imports of the material stood at a heftier 4,000 tons.

Following is the break-up of month-wise import of pet coke via Kolkata Port in 2012-13 and 2013-14:

In February, the consignment arrived from China at a unit price of Rs 52,142 ($828).

In January 2014, all the consignments arrived from China in a price band of Rs 52,268 – Rs 52,897 ($840-$844).
