April 14: Imports of pet coke via V O Chidambaranar Port (formerly Tuticorin Port) stood at 15,000 tons in March which was more than double of 6,882 tons imported in February 2015, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In March 2015, the entire quantity came in from United States at a price range of Rs 6,138-Rs 6,157 ($98) per ton.
In February 2015, a volume of 5,000 tons came in from the United States at a unit price of Rs 6,104 ($98), 32 tons from China at a unit price of 56,631 ($902) while 1,850 tons arrived from other sources whose prices were not available.
