Pig iron producer plans to sell BF slag to cement maker

November 6: A leading pig iron producer based out of Andhra Pradesh plans to offer around 200,000 tons of blast furnace slag (granulated) for sale to cement makers or any other consumer, a source told ICMW.

The company is expecting to sell the material at about Rs 300 per ton ex-plant.

"The loading charges would have to be borne by the buyers and the material can be transported by both rakes and trucks," the source said.
